The trails down to Bridal Veil Falls have recently been upgraded with beautiful landscaping.
Collin’s Creek, Heber Springs, AR
Collin’s Creek is a beautiful hiking trail near the dam on Greer’s Ferry Lake. This hiking area leads down a gentle path to wind through the canopy of trees overhead and the creek below. There is plenty of wildlife to view and catch and release fishing. The best part of Collin’s Creek is that the landscape affords the sounds of nature be front and center, leaving the rest of the worlds chaotic cacophony far away.
Spring Park, Heber Springs, AR
Located in the heart of town on East Main Street.
Close to shopping, dining and lodging. Spring Park attracted settlers to Heber Springs in the 1830’s and is named after it’s natural springs which are covered by pavillions and accessible throughout the park. Spring Park offers picnic tables surrounded by beautiful shade trees, a basketball court, a skateboard ramp, playgrounds, 2 outdoor amphitheaters, public restrooms and is wheel chair accessible.
Spring Park is home to many festivals through out the year including Spring Fest and Old Settler’s Days.
Spring Park is known for its natural springs that are located throughout the park. However, that’s not all the park has to offer. Spring Park has a variety of playground equipment which is surrounded by lush shade trees and inviting park benches. The park is always full of children hard at play. Picnic tables are throughout the park and offer shaded areas for picnics, birthday parties and family reunions. Spring Park has so much to offer and best of all is the price.
There is no charge for use of Spring Park!
Spring Park is open year round to the public.
Sandy Beach Recreational Area, Heber Springs, AR
Sandy Beach offers a public beach for swimming, picnic areas, sand volleyball and a pavilion that can be reserved for special gatherings. With plenty of shade trees surrounding the picnic areas, it is used frequently for family gatherings and birthday parties. There are no camping facilities.
Dam Site Park, Heber Springs, AR
At the foot of Round Mountain in the beautiful Ozark Mountains of north-central Arkansas stands Greers Ferry Dam. Behind that structure dedicated in 1963 by the late President John F. Kennedy, glistens one of the foremost recreational areas in the middle United States, Greers Ferry Lake. With over 30,000 acres of water surface, the lake serves as a playground for all kinds of water sports. Eighteen parks around the shoreline provide modern campgrounds, boat launches, swim areas and marinas.
